Electrical / welding and cutting work

Before each welding, cutting, blow-torch, or similar ignition-source task where the constructor or employer uses a hot-work permit control.

Elevating work platform operations

Daily before use, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, for every elevating work platform used on the project.

Excavation and trenching

Before workers enter an excavation or trench and whenever site, soil, water, weather, support-system, or adjacent-structure conditions change.

General construction supervision

At least weekly for the supervisor inspection required by section 14(4). Toolbox talks may be documented on the same cadence when used to communicate inspection findings, hazards, and controls.

Portable ladder use

Before first use on each shift and whenever the ladder is moved, damaged, or exposed to a new hazard.

Scaffold erection and use

Before use after erection, alteration, adverse weather, impact, or any condition change.

Confined space entry

Before every confined-space entry and whenever atmospheric, rescue, isolation, or work-scope conditions change.

Forklift and powered industrial truck operation

Before each shift or first use by the assigned operator.

Fall protection equipment inspection

Before each use and after any fall arrest event, impact, visible damage, or manufacturer-specified trigger.

Before lane occupation, traffic staging changes, shift changes, or municipal inspection.

Before critical lifts, repeated lift sequences, equipment changes, ground-condition changes, or weather changes.

Propane cylinder storage and use

Daily when propane is stored or used on site and whenever storage locations change.

Before dust-generating work starts and whenever cutting, grinding, drilling, ventilation, or wet-control conditions change.

Asbestos abatement notification and control

Before abatement begins and whenever enclosure, type of operation, worker access, or clearance status changes.

Roofing fall protection controls

Before roofing work starts and whenever edge exposure, access, weather, or work area changes.

Demolition pre-start controls

Before demolition begins and when hidden services, structural instability, or adjacent occupancy conditions change.

Lockout and tagout isolation

Before service, maintenance, demolition, tie-in, or energization work begins.

First aid station and kit inspection
